15-16 Oct 2021: Students from the group Jayant and Mithun Madhusudanan presented MiniTalk at e-SMYIM 2021 (Soft Matter Young Investigators Meeting) and PI presented an invited talk. While clearly the PI have witnessed growing and budding inquisitive minds who are able to interact, defend and challenge peers.

08 Feb 2019: Early CAREER Research award (ECR) awarded to Mithun by SERB, India.

27 Aug 2018: Exactly 2 months later he got a letter communicating his award for Ramanujan Fellowship from SERB India, which he applied from USA.

​29 June 2018: Mithun Chowdhury formally joins IITB as Asst Professor. He flew  a long-haul from Philadelphia (via Doha) landed Mumbai airport at 3 AM with 5 checked luggage and by 9:30 AM grabbed his office key. Signed in officially by noon! Definitely there was too much excitement. That's how probably transition happens.
